Life Comes At You Fast. But, always Look ahead! You have a long life of promise in front of you… and you don’t want to do anything that could hurt your future. Because life is full of curves and twists. Just like the highway, if you take your eyes off the road of life too long, you might lose control and end up hurting yourself.
You’ve seen the road signs that say, “Danger Ahead!” It’s a fair warning to be careful as you advance on your journey on the highway. But in life, there’s danger behind you too. And the danger I’m referring to is when you spend more time looking back at the past years of your life… either wishing you could have them back, or wishing you could totally erase them – because it haunts you every day. “I wish I had more time!” That’s what most people are accustomed to saying whenever they have too much to do… but not enough time, seemingly, to do everything they want to do. It’s an overwhelming feeling. However, it’s just a feeling. Everyone has the same amount of time, but somehow, most people fill up the container of their days with too much stuff.
You’re not obligated to do everything just because you think you have to do it. When you realize you’re trying to fit too much stuff (tasks, errands, obligations) into a small container (24 hours), it becomes obvious that you can’t get a bigger container … so you have to get rid of some stuff. Everything just won’t fit. Therefore, you have to always think simplifying what you have to do. Continue reading Over Commitment of Your Time, Can Drain You…
What does your life story look like? Is it exciting? Or, is it just… BLAH? If you want to write a better story for your life… you can. Think of how it would look if you took the time to cut out everything that’s wasn’t necessary. Certainly, it would give you a more meaningful story. Something to smile about.
Take an inventory of the commitments in your life. How do they give your life value? How important is each commitment to you? Is it in line with your life priorities and values? How would each commitment affect your life if you dropped out? Would it give you time to further your life goals?Continue reading Don’t Feel Guilty About Doing What’s Important To You…
Choose your path. Having a happy life is about making your own choices. The way everyone else does things won’t work for you all the time. That’s a simple, but true fact. A life filled with possessions does not equal happiness. And, just because everyone else thinks something should be done a certain way, it doesn’t mean it’s the best way, or the only way.
When it comes to others, be helpful, compassionate, be kind and be grateful. However, you should never try to live up to their expectations. To live your life freely, you have to free yourself from the shackles of meaningless customs that other people set up for their lives, so you can live a life of spontaneity and freedom.Continue reading Don’t Do Everything, “Just Because” Everyone Else Is…
It’s okay to be unique. GOD did not create you to be a copycat, or to be a carbon copy of someone else. You will find that with a little creativity, and a lot of faith, any difference can be turned into something amazing. Your difference is your power.
The normal way of doing things is often not the only way, nor the best way.
Even when you do… fear doesn’t sleep. It’s all around you. It’s never satisfied unless it has your attention. Whenever fear can’t get your attention while you are awake, it will do its best to insert itself into your midnight thoughts – even your dreams – if you allow it.
Fear affects our lives in unseen ways, causing worry, hesitation, confusion, anxiety and avoidance. It can bring you to your knees… even cripple your lifestyle and your peace – if you allow it.
Truth is… fears control us in ways we never realize, unacknowledged and more powerful because of their unknown workings.
Fear can stop your dreams.
Fear can stop you from taking risks.
Fear can stop you from pursuing love.
Fear can stop you from seeking adventure.
Fear can stop you from speaking in public.
Fear can stop you from starting a new venture, etc….
It’s up to you to make a commitment to change. It’s a big decision, and the decision is all yours. When and how… is your choice too. But, what if you had to make a list of all the habits you would like to change or create, how many changes would be on the list? Would you actually make the changes? Could you actually make the changes?
Christmas is about JESUS. Christmas is about love. Christmas is about giving… not so much things, as it is giving of ourselves. Christmas is a time of sharing.
We don’t need to buy things to make our lives beautiful or joyous. We don’t need more glamorous items in our lives to find happiness and contentment. We can find these wonderful qualities in what’s already in front of us… when we learn to see GOD in everything.Continue reading Enjoy the Christmas Season. Give… Love… Share.
Life is short! We all have a limited time to live a remarkable life. Some people live for seconds, days, years, decades — but nobody is here forever. That’s why; we have to take the time to give the best we have to offer to all of our relationships. Love always goes the extra mile.
People change! It’s a fact we have to live with every single day of our lives. Changes in life outside our relationships with family, friends, significant others, and co-workers… will impact what we want and need from our relationships with each person in every facet of our lives. Since change is inevitable, welcoming it as an opportunity to enhance our relationships is more fruitful than trying to keep it from happening.
No matter where we are in life, everything that involves building better connections with the people in our lives will take a great deal of love, patience and understanding. There’s no room for blame; but only room for total consideration of others and where they are in life. Continue reading LOVE Always Protects, Trusts, Hopes, and Perseveres…
“A man that has friends must show himself friendly…” ~ Proverbs 18:24

Sometimes, to enjoy your life… you have to “Change Your Point of View.” You have to change your whole perspective of things and allow space for others to enter into your world…in order to have a well-rounded social life. Continue reading Life Really is What You Make it…
