Life Really is What You Make it…

A man that has friends must show himself friendly…” ~ Proverbs 18:24

Climber creates his own life adventure.

How’s your social life? Are you optimistic and open to meeting new people? Or, are you happy living inside your own little box… in your own world where you’re comfortable?

Sometimes, to enjoy your life… you have to “Change Your Point of View.” You have to change your whole perspective of things and allow space for others to enter into your world…in order to have a well-rounded social life. Continue reading Life Really is What You Make it…

How To Transform Your Life Through Prayer… and Faith

When you pray… and pray… and pray, and it seems like nothing is happening, you have to know GOD is still with you. That’s faith! But, it helps more when you understand… GOD does not operate on a time-table – but on faith.

impossible (550x366)

The problem is never GOD. In many cases, then, it comes down to your personal faith… and patience. Saying, “I have faith,” and actually having faith, are two opposite things. Therefore, you should never allow true faith to be overshadowed by a confession of faith that’s filled with an arsenal of charismatic clichés.

Faith is more than positive thinking. Faith is a mindset… and a way of life. So, faith cannot be tricked into being. It has to be lived – daily. Confession of faith must be the Word of GOD spoken from your heart. When you believe, speak, and act on the Word, that’s faith. And that’s what GOD responds to, and nothing else.

What do you know about faith? Sure, I know you constantly hear the clichés people use… such as:

“Faith is the key.”

“You just have to believe.”

“Wait on GOD.”

“GOD responds to faith.”

“Without faith, it’s impossible to please GOD.”

“You just need to take it to the Lord.”

Those are all true. Still, how do you see faith? Daily, do you “Walk by Faith?” If so, surely you understand how faith pleases GOD. Your mindset is a powerful thing, and it has a big effect on your life. It has the ability to control you, persuade you and even hold you back from doing or achieving great things. It can be the difference between personal happiness and unhappiness.

The only way to develop a mind-set of faith is to: 1. Make good choices… 2. Learn to combat fear, and take action… and 3. Take GOD at His Word. Because no matter how positive your mindset is on any given day, you have to commit to a cause that’s much greater than who you are. Faith can’t be in your mind alone, you have to commit to faith with action and an ultimate goal in mind… to please GOD.

Life Is Good… If You Believe It Is

LIFE! If you think it’s great… it will be. If you think it’s beautiful… it will be. If you think it’s important… it will be. If you think it’s worth it… it will be. Life is whatever you want it to be. Your thoughts are important… and whatever you think life is, then, that’s exactly what it will be. Perception is everything!

Hurray we did it!

The “biggest” battle of life takes place right inside your mind! That’s no surprise to you, I’m sure. The environment we create within our mind is who we become in life. Our daily thoughts form habits, and our habits create a pattern of actions that make us who we are. Each day, our thoughts lead us to seek fulfillment of some kind to bring us peace. Open The Eyes Of My Heart: How To Get Closer To GOD

What do “The eyes of your heart” see? What grabs keeps your attention? As you awake each morning, and the noise of the world begins to speak to you… what draws you? Is it the quest for more of what society has to offer… or do you set aside intentional time to get to know Jesus better.

There is reward in having a relationship with GOD – both naturally, and spiritually. Some might wonder, though, “How do I get closer to GOD?” Well, it takes self-will and self-determination to present everything about you, to GOD, in order for Him to take it and make you better.

To know GOD…

1. Means hearing about Him first,

2. Then actually appealing to Him,

3. Accepting His word as personal to your own life,

4. Putting Him to the test by faith,

5. Trusting His death to square up one’s sin score,

6. Trusting His power to guide your will.

7. It means living your whole life according to His ideals.

Today, Things Will Get Better, If You Keep The Faith

You are stronger than you think. So, when you’re going through tough times, don’t worry. YOU will get STRONGER. YOU will get BETTER. You will get through it. You may lose some good things… but GOD will give you BETTER things. “GOD giveth, and GOD taketh away.”

No matter what you go through, GOD uses it to give you strength and wisdom, to get you through the next test or trial. So, KEEP PRAYING! Because, in spite of what happened yesterday… TODAY will be better, if you KEEP THE FAITH. GOD didn’t bring you this far to fail you now. So, keep your head up. Keep your eyes on GOD. There’s a rhyme and a reason to what you’re going through. GOD will reveal it soon. Don’t give up. Continue reading Today, Things Will Get Better, If You Keep The Faith

GOD is EVERYTHING, When There Is Nothing

 Show me your ways, Lord,

Teach me your paths.

Guide me in your truth and teach me,

For you are God my Savior,

… and my hope is in you all day long. ~ Psalm 25:4-5

You might never come to know everything that GOD is… But just know that, GOD is EVERYTHING. If you know that… you understand what matters most.

As you pray, just tell GOD, “LORD, help me to know YOU. Less of me… and MORE of YOU!”

  • Live “IN” me.
  • Work “ON” me.
  • Keep your arms “AROUND” me.
  • As YOU watch “OVER” me.

Real Love: What It Is, and What It’s Not

The most perfect description I’ve ever read concerning what real love is, can be found in the Bible. It reads:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

If you truly love someone, love drives you to sacrifice for that person, sometimes at your own loss.

Love isn’t easy… but it must be fought for, because when it is real, it’s well worth the fight. Wherever a seed of love is planted, and nurtured…, then it will keep growing and growing, because love knows the beginning… yet, it does not know the end.

Most people believe in love strongly. But, is it really love they’ve found? They might think so. Their significant other may also agree that it’s the real thing. Truth is, though, they might have simply created a fantasy that can only survive in the bubble of the manipulated realities they have invented. And if that’s the case, the magic will die or fade away under the stresses and strains of real life. Continue reading Real Love: What It Is, and What It’s Not

Why It’s Important To Evaluate The People In Your Life

Lead, or be led. Take responsibility for being in charge of everything that is you. Get to know… and evaluate the people in your life. Then, promote, demote or terminate… as you see fit. It’s your life. So, choose your path… and never allow anyone to stand in the way of your happiness.

Your life is a result of the choices you make, and the ones you should, but don’t. Therefore, it is important, as the CEO of your life, to stand up for yourself and be who you are. Follow your dreams. If you are not sure about who you are… or what you want out of life, someone somewhere… or something, will try to control your life.

People will try to control you, without realizing it – based on their own wants and needs. In the meantime, others have a well-defined mental plan of exactly what they want out of you… whether you like it, or not, they will do everything they can to get it. It’s all a part of life, and as your life’s CEO, you have to determine: 1. Who 2. How much 3. When, and… 4. How often Continue reading Why It’s Important To Evaluate The People In Your Life

10 Qualities That Will Make You A Great Leader

Go to the people
Live among them
Learn from them
Love them
Serve them
Plan with them
Start with what they know
Build on what they have.”
~ Jimmy Yen

If you want to be a great leader… you must be willing to give, more than you seek to receive. That means being a good follower and servant. Good followers make great leaders. And the best example of a leader is one who follows the motto/scripture, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”…, and actually lives by it each day – just as Jesus did in His day.

A good leader knows how to treat people the way they would want to be treated. People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. People will willingly follow a leader they know is knowledgeable, and cares about their welfare; not just their own goals and aspirations. 5 Ways To Overcome A Negative Outlook On Life

Sow a thought, and you reap an act;

Sow an act, and you reap a habit;

Sow a habit, and you reap a character;

Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.”

― Samuel Smiles

You can’t think negatively and have faith, all at the same time. Negative thoughts drain you of energy and keep you from being in the present moment. So, the more you give in to your negative thoughts, the stronger they become.

Instead of looking back in negativity, wondering where your life went wrong, look ahead… to SEE WHERE YOU CAN GO RIGHT. You are going to be fine! If you know you’re a “Work in progress,” don’t jump ahead of yourself and try to be perfect. Everything about you is not perfect yet. Leave room for GOD to work in your life.
