Fear of failure and change and discomfort and uncertainty are real … but they’re not good enough reasons for inaction. They can all be overcome. I’ve dealt with them, and so have thousands, millions of others. You’re no worse than me or anyone else — you can face these fears.
The key is… you have to follow GOD. When you make the decision to change… you can’t look back. You have to listen closely to HIS voice, and then follow what HE’s saying to you. From that point, you have to follow the DREAM HE has put inside you. Continue reading When You Make the Decision to Change… You Can’t Look Back
We always want things to be different. We don’t know why… we just do. So, we strive to improve things – even ourselves – when we are unsatisfied with how things are. But then what? Most times, we are still unsatisfied, because the underlying cause of our problems isn’t the things around us, but it’s our expectation of things.
Learn to enjoy life for what it is. Every now and then… take a moment, sit down… and reflect on your life. Continue reading Learn To Enjoy Life For What It Is…
“I wish I had more time!” That’s what most people are accustomed to saying whenever they have too much to do… but not enough time, seemingly, to do everything they want to do. It’s an overwhelming feeling. However, it’s just a feeling. Everyone has the same amount of time, but somehow, most people fill up the container of their days with too much stuff.
You’re not obligated to do everything just because you think you have to do it. When you realize you’re trying to fit too much stuff (tasks, errands, obligations) into a small container (24 hours), it becomes obvious that you can’t get a bigger container … so you have to get rid of some stuff. Everything just won’t fit. Therefore, you have to always think simplifying what you have to do. Continue reading Over Commitment of Your Time, Can Drain You…
What does your life story look like? Is it exciting? Or, is it just… BLAH? If you want to write a better story for your life… you can. Think of how it would look if you took the time to cut out everything that’s wasn’t necessary. Certainly, it would give you a more meaningful story. Something to smile about.
Take an inventory of the commitments in your life. How do they give your life value? How important is each commitment to you? Is it in line with your life priorities and values? How would each commitment affect your life if you dropped out? Would it give you time to further your life goals? Continue reading Don’t Feel Guilty About Doing What’s Important To You…
Choose your path. Having a happy life is about making your own choices. The way everyone else does things won’t work for you all the time. That’s a simple, but true fact. A life filled with possessions does not equal happiness. And, just because everyone else thinks something should be done a certain way, it doesn’t mean it’s the best way, or the only way.
When it comes to others, be helpful, compassionate, be kind and be grateful. However, you should never try to live up to their expectations. To live your life freely, you have to free yourself from the shackles of meaningless customs that other people set up for their lives, so you can live a life of spontaneity and freedom. Continue reading Don’t Do Everything, “Just Because” Everyone Else Is…
It’s okay to be unique. GOD did not create you to be a copycat, or to be a carbon copy of someone else. You will find that with a little creativity, and a lot of faith, any difference can be turned into something amazing. Your difference is your power.
The normal way of doing things is often not the only way, nor the best way.
Ever been stuck in a rut of doing things a certain way, because that’s the way everyone else does things, or because that’s how it’s always been done? Because it’s safe. Continue reading Dare to Be Different. That’s The Best Part of Life…
Even when you do… fear doesn’t sleep. It’s all around you. It’s never satisfied unless it has your attention. Whenever fear can’t get your attention while you are awake, it will do its best to insert itself into your midnight thoughts – even your dreams – if you allow it.
Fear affects our lives in unseen ways, causing worry, hesitation, confusion, anxiety and avoidance. It can bring you to your knees… even cripple your lifestyle and your peace – if you allow it.
Truth is… fears control us in ways we never realize, unacknowledged and more powerful because of their unknown workings.
Fear can stop your dreams.
Fear can stop you from taking risks.
Fear can stop you from pursuing love.
Fear can stop you from seeking adventure.
Fear can stop you from speaking in public.
Fear can stop you from starting a new venture, etc….
It can cause you discomfort. It can cause you to procrastinate, overeat, and be distracted with worry. Continue reading Fear Is Harmless… Unless You Give It the Energy to Harm You
It’s up to you to make a commitment to change. It’s a big decision, and the decision is all yours. When and how… is your choice too. But, what if you had to make a list of all the habits you would like to change or create, how many changes would be on the list? Would you actually make the changes? Could you actually make the changes?
For many of us, we might have more than a dozen habit changes we’d like to make. And we want to make them all right now! However, you might find it helpful to know that, changes have to be thought of as being similar to a marathon, not a sprint. Continue reading When You Make The Decision To Change… You Have To Make Time Too
Christmas is about JESUS. Christmas is about love. Christmas is about giving… not so much things, as it is giving of ourselves. Christmas is a time of sharing.
We don’t need to buy things to make our lives beautiful or joyous. We don’t need more glamorous items in our lives to find happiness and contentment. We can find these wonderful qualities in what’s already in front of us… when we learn to see GOD in everything. Continue reading Enjoy the Christmas Season. Give… Love… Share.
