Planned Time With GOD…, Why Is It Important?

People often say, “I want to trust GOD more, but I don’t hear Him.” To hear from GOD, you have to get close to GOD. He loves to have us near to Him… in our walk with Him. You can never hear GOD whenever your mind is filled with the outside distractions of the world around you. You’ve got to get alone with GOD and be quiet.

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). Without doubt, I am positive that the majority of people know that verse quite well…, some even know it by memory. Still. It is a verse that seems far from daily reality for many people, especially as it concerns having a daily prayer life… and spending time with GOD.

Time with GOD is a necessity, and it is an essential ingredient to living a happy life. Not only that, it brings security and a joyful peace of mind. Make no mistake about it. Yet, it is a part of life that has to be planned ahead of time, in order for you to get the full affect.

Some of the ways you can plan time with GOD, ahead of time, in order to get closer to HIM… are through:

  • Bible study
  • Intercessory prayer
  • Meditation and fasting
  • Conference/Prayer calls
  • Planned Bible
  • Sunday morning worship

It’s up to you. If your goal is to know GOD, you have to be intentional… and set aside time to spend with Him. If GOD is not your top priority, the closeness between you and Him… won’t ever happen. ‪

Plan your time with GOD. For sure, you will never “Find time” to spend with GOD. Therefore, you have to make time. Sometimes it takes:

• Turning off the T.V.
• Responding later to texts or phone calls
• Putting off exercising or leisure activities
• Waiting to eat later
• Postponing sleep until later…
