Be happy with who you are, and never waste time fretting over who you think you should be. GOD could have made you another way, but He didn’t. So what that means is, there must be a particular plan He had in mind when He created you, the way you are.
If you are like me, you’ve been through certain phases in your life when you questioned GOD…, searching for answers to your problems. Then you probably realized, everything about your life – problems and all – leads back to trusting GOD. At one point, I didn’t understand life. Here’s what I did:
I looked at my problems and said, “Why me LORD. Why Is Life So Hard? “And GOD virtually said… “Trust me. I see your problems. I am shaping you, because I have the best planned for you.”
He said in Matthew 5:3, [“Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”] Now I understand that GOD’s plan for me… is an everlasting plan of happiness and joy.
I looked at my surroundings and thought, “I wish I were somewhere else. “But GOD said… “I put you where you are.”
Learn to be like the Apostle Paul, who said in Philippians 4:11-13, [“I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”] It helped learn to enjoy my surroundings, wherever I am.
I looked back at my yesterdays and said to myself, “I wish I could change it. “But GOD said…
… in Jeremiah 29:11, [“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you… thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”] Just stay with the plan.
I looked at who I am today and thought, “I wish I were different. “But GOD said to the angels…
… in Genesis 1:26, [“Let us make man in our image… and let them have dominion… over all the earth.”] That caused me to think about the fact that I am “Fearfully and Wonderfully made,” and it brought me happiness.
I looked at my finances and thought, “I wish I had more. “But GOD said, “Try me. Let your ways please Me.”
In Malachi 3:10 He said, [“If I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”] Those words eased my troubled mind… and caused me to want to give more to GOD.
So, I took a closer look at my LIFE and saw that it was good… and said, “LORD, THANK YOU for all that YOU are to me, for all that you have made to life to be, and for all that you are making me to be. Carry on with YOUR plan. [“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are (YOUR)ways higher than (my) ways, and (YOUR)thoughts than (my)thoughts. ~ Isaiah 55:9.]
