Never surrender your hopes and dreams to the fateful limitations other people have placed on their own lives. The vision of your true destiny does not reside within the dim outlook of the naysayers and the doom prophets… it resides in your faith.
Stop Listening to Naysayers. They always get it wrong. People will tell you, “Don’t get your hopes up too high.” Wait… seriously? Well, what about the scripture that says, [“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” ~ Hebrews 11:1]
Keep your hopes up high. Naysayers can only tell you about what they think might happen. The problem, though, is that they don’t have a clue, and they don’t know your level of faith.
Naysayers are quick to encourage you to have realistic expectations, so you won’t have a big let down in the end. However, when it comes to walking by faith… GOD only gives us His best. Therefore, when you’ve done all you can to live by GOD’s Word – day in and day out – you should never expect anything less than the best, whenever you ask Him for something you need. Nothing is impossible.
Expectation in Action
Expecting a lot or being optimistic does not mean you have to wait for things to happen by themselves. To quiet your naysayers, you have to:
- Trust GOD
- Walk by faith
- Expect the best
- Believe that the best will happen
- Make decisions in order for the best to happen
- Follow up… and take action to make things happen
- Wait for the best to happen
It doesn’t mean you have to lower your expectations to meet your performance. Instead, you have to raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. So always, expect the best for yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality. Take your expectations to the extreme. Rise to the challenge… and allow your dreams and visions to take you further than you’ve ever imagined they could go – in spite of what the naysayers say.
Your limitations and success will be based, most often, on your own expectations for yourself. What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon. There’s only one big risk you should avoid at all costs…, and that is the risk of doing nothing. Taking that risk will never get you anywhere. The biggest thing to remember in life is this: YOU CAN DO ANYTHING…as long as you never lose faith and hope.
