Let’s Talk About Love

You don’t love someone because they’re perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they’re not.” ― Jodi Picoult

True LOVE… is priceless, and is of GOD. Contrary to popular belief… it’s better to give love, first, before you look to receive it. So no matter what you do today, your highest call, your most important work, is to love. And it doesn’t really matter what types of illusions TV or the movies use to try to embellish love’s true meaning, you should always stay focused on the biblical meaning of it… and do your best to put it into action to make the world a better place.

Modern culture has wildly twisted the definition and the significance of love. Nowadays, people use love as a weapon… and in some cases, as a play-thing. But love is much more than that. When love becomes no more than an illusion that people use to take advantage of other people, love – and life – become a nightmare. When this happens, people begin to see love as the “Photo negative”… or the reverse of what First Corinthians Thirteen says. It’s a love that’s selfish… and to selfish people:

  • Love is kind when it’s useful
  • Love is cruel when it’s not useful
  • Love is more about flattery
  • Love is better used as a manipulator
  • Love is about self-advancement

But wait! That’s not what love is at all. It’s the way of the world… and the love that helps to fulfill the enemy’s agenda. It’s terribly wrong, and totally backwards.

This is love: GOD said, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” ~ (John 13:35).

So, with all our hearts “Let us love one another, for love is from GOD, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows GOD.” ~ (1 John 4:7). Let us “Love one another with brotherly affection [and] outdo one another in showing honor.” ~ (Romans 12:10).
