How To Appreciate The “Presents” And The “Presence” of Christmas

To GOD… everyone is precious! But from everyone… GOD does not get the same love reciprocated back to Him, in return. GOD has never gotten all the Honor and Glory… and the reverence and credit He deserves as the Creator of all things. So today, I personally want to give all glory to GOD… and say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS!!! For sure… the world became a better place the moment You were born.

I love gifts… and gift giving. It makes the season joyous. However, Christmas should never be just about gifts, it should be about:

• Love

• Forgiveness

• Kindness

• Compassion

• Being a shoulder for someone to lean on

• Helping others bear a burden that’s too heavy

• Being a friend to the friendless… or to someone who is lonely

• Knowing how to be someone’s angel… when they need it the most.

During this season of LOVE and GIVING of gifts, I hope you will take the time to reflect on the goodness of GOD, and think about what it means to you. Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as it is about opening our hearts.

[When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” ~ Luke 2:15 (KJV)]

Certainly, it’s not the “Presents” that make Christmas so special, it’s the “PRESENCE” of those you love, whether they are with you in person, or spirit… and the “PRESENCE” of GOD.

It is our responsibility, as Christians, to take the lead, and teach the world what LOVE is – according to the way JESUS Himself… acted it out during His earthly ministry. What do you say? Are you up for the challenge? Just know, though, that this challenge is one that lasts throughout the 365 days of each year. And, when all of us can step up to the plate and meet this challenge… it will be very pleasing to GOD, and it will give Him the best birthday present, ever. MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” ~ Luke 2:14 (KJV)
