The reason so many people have decided to give up on GOD… and on the Christian race is that they never learned to conquer themselves, which is the greatest victory. Instead, “Self” conquered them. Nevertheless, “Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting.” You’re not defeated… as long as you stay in the fight – not with your eyes on the problem, but with your eyes on GOD.
The biggest battle you can ever win… is the victory over self. Nothing else in life is even a close second.
People will come against you for no apparent reason. So when you have fights against:
… In reality, it’s not solely a fight against them at all. It’s the work of the enemy behind the scenes. Remember the scripture, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places?” The flesh and blood that is mentioned…is people. However, the principalities and the powers, etc…. well, that’s another story. They are the things that happen in the spiritual world… led by enemy – unseen to our eyes – that make their way into our lives to cause trouble.
Spiritually; then, you should never stop for rest, or take your eyes off GOD – in this cold war. The moment you do, it will give the enemy the ‘right of way’ to enter your life… and to do as he pleases with you. Oh, how I wish I could ask the countless millions of people, which the enemy has led astray… who, at the dawn of victory, lay down to rest, and because of that… the enemy overtook them and caused them to turn away from GOD… “What happened?” And they all would probably echo the same words… “I thought I was strong enough to handle my situation alone” or “I never seriously thought the enemy would ever get the best of me the way he did.”
I’m reminded of an old song we use to sing in praise service that goes like this, “Victory is mine, victory is mine, victory today is mine… I told Satan, get thee behind; victory today is mine.” It’s a happy ‘Victory Chant.’ And this kind of war calls for spiritual weapons; led by the Spiritual General of the spiritual army himself… JESUS. No other person or power is qualified to lead us. Under JESUS’ authority, we Christians are trained through the willful submissiveness of our spirits. Naturally, we can do nothing for GOD, if we won’t allow Him access to our heart, mind and spirit. With access, though, GOD has the ability to perform many wondrous works in your life.
