When you pray… and pray… and pray, and it seems like nothing is happening, you have to know GOD is still with you. But, it helps more when you understand… GOD does not operate on a time-table – but on faith. The problem is never GOD. In many cases, then, it comes down to your personal faith… and patience. Saying, “I have faith,” and actually having faith, are two opposite things. Therefore, you should never allow true faith to be overshadowed by a confession of faith that’s filled with an arsenal of charismatic clichés.
Presently, we live in an era where there is an increased commitment to self-development, motivation, and positive thinking programs… where there are coaches who seek to keep our minds stimulated, just so we can stay motivated. But, their cause is no greater than the faith put forth by each individual they are trying to help. If the participants don’t have the proper mindset, there’s nothing no one can do to change that person’s reality or negative life circumstance.
Faith is more than positive thinking. Faith is a mindset… and a way of life. So, faith cannot be tricked into being. It has to be lived – daily. Confession of faith must be the Word of GOD spoken from your heart. When you believe, speak, and act on the Word, that’s faith. And that’s what GOD responds to, and nothing else.
What do you know about faith? Sure, I know you constantly hear the clichés people use… such as:
“Faith is the key.”
“You just have to believe.”
“Wait on GOD.”
“GOD responds to faith.”
“Without faith, it’s impossible to please GOD.”
“You just need to take it to the Lord.”
Those are all true. Still, how do you see faith? Daily, do you “Walk by Faith?” If so, surely you understand how faith pleases GOD. Your mindset is a powerful thing, and it has a big effect on your life. It has the ability to control you, persuade you and even hold you back from doing or achieving great things. It can be the difference between personal happiness and unhappiness.
The only way to develop a mind-set of faith is to: 1. Make good choices… 2. Learn to combat fear, and take action… and 3. Take GOD at His Word. Because no matter how positive your mindset is on any given day, you have to commit to a cause that’s much greater than who you are. Faith can’t be in your mind alone, you have to commit to faith with action and an ultimate goal in mind… to please GOD.
