GOD is a “Creative” GOD! Since the very beginning of time, He has been speaking to and directing mankind – from the Garden of Eden, until now. Yet, people often doubt whether we can really hear GOD’s voice? But, somewhere, deep down in the silence of our hearts… GOD does speak.
GOD is very unique and strategic in the way He handles everything. That’s why we have to face life each day with “Interior motives.” We must spend one on one time with GOD… so that individually, our heart begins to learn and eventually understand the personal language which GOD speaks to us in.
An Effective Example of Communication
There was a T.V. commercial that aired in the 1980’s by E.F. Hutton. In that particular ad, there was a crowd of people in a conference room… but two particular people were having a private conversation… when one of them said, “Well my broker is E.F. Hutton and E.F. Hutton says….” [At that point there was a ‘Big hush’ over the crowd and everyone turned to listen]. Then the ad concluded with the phrase, “When E.F. Hutton talks, people listen.” Wow! Talk about powerful! Their intended message came across crystal clear to its audience.
What about when GOD speaks? Is anyone listening? Shouldn’t GOD have better credibility than E.F. Hutton has when it comes to important messages He wants to share with us?
There are so many ways to hear GOD’s voice. Bottom line is… if we are His children, we should have no problem understanding His voice when He speaks:
Through His Word
Through Other Believers
Through Our Circumstances
Through Our Prayers
Through Our Dreams
Through the Holy Spirit…. and many, many more.
How to Communicate With GOD
For sure, GOD’s way of communication is better than messages through texts, emails, and instograms or tweets… and advertisements. After we have spent time reading His Word, then, it’s up to us to meditate on what it says… and share it with others.
How to Pray to Hear GOD’s Voice
Lord Jesus, open my ears to hear truth. Open my eyes to see truth. Open my heart to understand truth. Correct me, Lord, when I need it. Your Word says your Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth. (John 16:13). It also says it will teach us about all things, and is true and is not a lie. (1 John 2:27). I draw near to you, O Lord. Please draw near to me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
